Vlingo Partners With Foursquare!

Any Vlingo users out there (like me) will be happy to see this addition to their popular app.  They have just announced a partnership with Foursquare allowing check-in’s via speech.

If you haven’t already, head to the market and get the updated app, and start enjoying the Foursquare features of Vlingo.  You can simply say “Check in at Times Square” for example, and immediately be prompted to check in at that location with the option of adding a shout out in the process (which can also be done with their text to speech.)

Finally you can also now locate your friends easily through Foursquare and Vlingo by saying “Where are my friends” and you’ll be presented with a list of recent check-ins from your friends.  I would’ve liked to see some map integration there like Tweetdeck uses, but still a very welcome feature.

If you haven’t used Vlingo at all yet, then you’re missing out.  It’s Voice Actions on steroids, and works with all 2.0+ android phones, not just Froyo. We have a full review here.
